Jacob Nevill is a musical storyteller who enjoys connecting with people through the rhythm, melody, and harmony. He is finding ways to reconnect people to classical music and jazz through academics, composition or technology and get people excited to tell their story through these mediums.
In 2008, he graduated from Nyack College with degrees in music composition and saxophone performance. While there, he earned distinctions in both fields and did numerous performances with the college. In 2011, he received a masters in jazz arranging and composition from William Paterson University.
Mr. Nevill has arranged music for artists such as Bernie Williams and has composed and produced musical scores for short films and indies. He currently is involved with writing music for film and media and is an contributing artist with various music licensing companies.
In addition to his music writing, Mr. Nevill is an adjunct instructor at Nyack College where he teaches music technology, basic theory, and saxophone. He also teaches privately in the New York and North Jersey area.
